INDICATION

● Respiratory Tract Infections : Used in the treatment of bacterial infections affecting the lungs and airways. It helps reduce the infection, relieves symptoms, and supports faster recovery from respiratory illnesses.

● Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) : Helps treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, including the bladder and urinary system. It works to clear the infection and improve urinary health.

● Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Infections : Effective in managing bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, and sinuses. It helps reduce inflammation and promotes recovery from the infection.

● Skin & Soft Tissue Infections : Used for bacterial infections affecting the skin and surrounding soft tissues. It helps control the infection and supports the healing process.

● Gynecological Infections : Used in the treatment of certain bacterial infections affecting the female reproductive system. It helps eliminate infection-causing bacteria and aids recovery.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug-Drug Interactions

Probenecid: May raise the levels of Faronem Tablet in your blood, which can increase your risk of experiencing side effects.

Valproic acid: Use with caution. While reductions in valproic acid levels have been reported with some beta-lactam antibiotics, this interaction is not firmly established specifically for faropenem. Patients taking valproic acid should consult their doctor and be monitored appropriately if both medicines are used together.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Severe kidney disease: May require your doctor to lower your dosage, as the kidneys clear this medication from your body.

History of colitis: May increase your risk of developing severe, drug-related bowel inflammation and diarrhoea.

Penicillin allergy: May cause a cross-allergic reaction; use with caution if you have known sensitivities to other beta-lactam antibiotics.

PRECAUTION
