INDICATION

MECHANISM OF ACTION 

Tenesys Tablet (Teneligliptin 20 mg)  is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which is responsible for the breakdown of incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). These incretin hormones play a key role in regulating blood glucose levels:

• Increases Insulin Secretion: By inhibiting DPP-4, teneligliptin prolongs the activity of GLP-1 and GIP, leading to increased insulin secretion from the pancreas in response to meals.

• Decreases Glucagon Secretion: Tenesys Tablet (Teneligliptin 20 mg) reduces the secretion of glucagon, a hormone that increases blood glucose levels by promoting glucose production in the liver.

• Improves Glycemic Control: Through these actions, Tenesys Tablet (Teneligliptin 20 mg)helps lower blood glucose levels and improves overall glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
