INDICATION
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Calcium Carbonate (1250 mg): Calcium Carbonate is a form of calcium that is easily absorbed by the body. Once ingested, it dissociates into calcium ions in the stomach and intestines. These calcium ions are then absorbed through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream. Calcium plays a crucial role in bone mineralization, as it is a primary component of bone tissue. Adequate calcium levels support bone strength, prevent bone loss, and are essential for maintaining healthy teeth and bone density.
Vitamin D3 (250 IU): Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is converted into its active form, calcitriol, in the liver and kidneys. Calcitriol enhances the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate from the diet. By increasing the efficiency of calcium absorption, Vitamin D3 helps maintain adequate serum calcium levels, which are necessary for bone health and mineralization. It also supports bone remodeling and strength.
