DESCRIPTION

Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w) is a combination cream containing an antifungal, an antibacterial, and a corticosteroid. Clotrimazole helps control fungal infections, Fusidic Acid helps control susceptible bacterial infections, while Mometasone helps reduce inflammation, redness, itching, and swelling associated with the condition. It is used as directed by the healthcare professional.

INDICATION

• Skin infections: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) is used to treat bacterial or fungal skin infections associated with redness, swelling, and itching.
   

• Mixed skin infections: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) used for skin infections that have both fungal (antifungal) and bacterial (antibiotic) components.
   

• Eczema with secondary infection: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) helps in eczematous lesions (inflamed, itchy, cracked skin) that are complicated by bacterial/fungal infection.
   

• Dermatitis: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) for inflammatory skin conditions (dermatitis) where there is also microbial overgrowth. 
   

• Impetigo: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) treats impetigo (bacterial skin infection with red sores).
   

• Psoriasis: Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w Cream) may be used in psoriasis associated with infection or inflammation.
   

• Tinea (ringworm) and athlete’s foot / jock itch: Fungal skin infections like tinea corporis, tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), and jock itch.
   

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Fuciway-CM Cream (Clotrimazole 1% w/w + Fusidic Acid 2% w/w + Mometasone 0.1% w/w) is a combination of an antifungal, an antibacterial, and a corticosteroid. Fusidic Acid primarily works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to elongation factor G (EF-G), thereby interfering with bacterial protein production and growth. Clotrimazole acts against susceptible fungi by interfering with fungal cell membrane formation. Mometasone is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, itching, and swelling associated with the affected skin.
